We collect your mobile number (for OTP authentication via Firebase), GPS coordinates and photos you attach to complaints, and complaint details you provide. We do not collect your name, email, or any payment information.
Your complaint data (photo, GPS, description) is used solely to route your complaint to the correct BBMP ward officer and to track resolution. Your phone number is used only for authentication — it is never shared with third parties or used for marketing.
Data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in the US. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage with restricted access. Firebase Authentication handles OTP and session management.
Complaint details (description, GPS, photo, ward) are shared with the assigned BBMP officer via a secure email link. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes.
Complaints are retained indefinitely for public record and accountability. You may request deletion of your account and complaints by contacting us at hello@cognitrixlabs.com.
The app requests Camera permission (to take complaint photos), Location permission (to geo-tag complaints), and Notification permission (to send you status updates). All permissions are optional except camera and location, which are required to file a complaint.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Supabase Row-Level Security ensures citizens can only access their own complaints. Officer resolution tokens are single-use and expire after use.
Namma Voice is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
